Immediate danger
If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement. In the United States, you can also make a report to the NCMEC CyberTipline.
Our commitment
Chats Only prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The Services may not be used to create, upload, store, solicit, threaten to share, promote, distribute, or facilitate this content or conduct.
These standards apply to every part of Chats Only, including profiles, discovery content, matching activity, private messages, usernames, links, and any other material or interaction made available through the Services. They apply to real, altered, computer-generated, and artificial-intelligence-generated depictions.
Content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, grooms, traffics, sextorts, or otherwise endangers a person under 18.
Any visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, including photos, video, altered imagery, and computer-generated imagery.
Chats Only does not allow content or behavior that:
Creating, possessing, posting, sending, selling, requesting, or linking to CSAM or other sexualized depictions of a minor.
Building trust with a minor to sexualize the interaction, obtain sexual content, arrange abuse, or move the conversation elsewhere for exploitation.
Facilitating, advertising, arranging, or benefiting from the sexual exploitation or trafficking of a minor.
Threatening, blackmailing, pressuring, or manipulating a minor to provide money, sexual content, personal information, or further contact.
Sexual comments, fantasies, role-play, or other content that sexualizes a known or apparent minor, even without an explicit image.
Giving instructions, using coded language, directing people to outside services, or helping another person avoid detection for child exploitation.
Attempts, encouragement, coordination, and credible threats involving any prohibited activity are also violations. A claim that content was fictional, humorous, educational, or generated by artificial intelligence does not excuse material or conduct that exploits or sexualizes a minor.
Use the reporting control available in Chats Only whenever possible. It can preserve the account, content, and conversation context our safety team needs to review the concern. If the control is unavailable or you cannot access an account, email our designated child-safety contact.
Use the subject line “Urgent Child Safety Report.” Include the username, where the content or interaction appeared, the date or approximate time, and a brief description of the concern.
You may report a concern even if you do not have a Chats Only account. Reports should be truthful and made in good faith. We may request more information, but we will never ask you to send suspected CSAM by ordinary email.
When we obtain actual knowledge of suspected CSAE or CSAM, we take action consistent with these standards and applicable law. Depending on the circumstances, that may include:
We review the available context and may restrict access to content, conversations, or accounts while a concern is assessed.
We remove prohibited material from systems we control and may suspend or permanently terminate accounts involved in child exploitation.
We may preserve information needed to investigate the report, prevent further harm, comply with a valid legal request, or support an appropriate authority.
We report apparent or confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the appropriate regional authority when required by applicable law.
We cooperate with valid legal process and may provide relevant information to law enforcement or child-protection authorities as permitted or required by law. To protect children, reporters, and investigations, we may not be able to share every review detail or enforcement outcome.
Chats Only is not directed to children under 13. Users must be at least 13, and a higher minimum age may apply where they live. If someone is not legally able to agree to our Terms independently, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to them on that person’s behalf.
Being old enough to use Chats Only never makes sexual exploitation acceptable. Any adult who sexualizes, grooms, solicits sexual content from, or attempts to arrange a sexual interaction with a minor violates these standards.
If you believe a child is using Chats Only below the applicable minimum age, has been contacted inappropriately, or may be at risk, email [email protected]. Include enough information to identify the account and concern, but do not send suspected CSAM.
Encourage young people not to share their address, school, live location, passwords, financial information, or intimate content. They should block and report anyone who pressures them to keep a relationship secret, move to another service, meet in person, or share sexual or identifying information.
These services are operated by independent organizations. In an emergency or when a child faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement first.
